It is built upon two of our proprietaryinvention patents and integrates extensive field experience from the previous‑generation SID‑3YL InrushCurrent Suppressor.
By applying precise phase control technology, it effectively suppresses bothoperational overvoltage and inrush current, making it widely suitable forswitching unloaded transformers, capacitor banks, and no‑load transmission lines.
For transformer switching applications, thedevice employs an advanced residual flux calculation algorithm that determines the transformer’s residual magnetism usingonly the controlled‑side voltage datarecorded during breaker opening.
Based on the calculated residual flux, thesystem applies an optimal closing‑angle selection algorithm to determine the target angle for the nextclosing operation.
This algorithm enables excellent inrushsuppression even in non‑controlledopening conditions, significantly improving field flexibility and overallinrush mitigation performance.
