A Mining Enterprise in Guizhou Province
Overview

In response to special directives issued by the National Mine Safety Administration, our company developed customized integrated solutions for multiple coal mining enterprises, including Guizhou Shuikuang Group, Guizhou Guineng Company, and Guizhou Fa’er Mine. The solution features dual power supply loop configuration and automated seamless switching to standby power sources.

This solution not only ensures a robust and redundant power supply structure for coal mines, but also enables uninterrupted operation of critical equipment—such as main ventilation fans—during sudden power disturbances (e.g., voltage dips). By effectively preventing the risk of underground gas concentration exceeding safety limits, the solution establishes a strong safety barrier for coal mine operations and comprehensively eliminates potential safety hazards associated with power supply failures.

Pain Points & Solutions
  • Pain Point 1: Safety Incidents
Upstream power supply lines are mostly overhead lines, which are prone to short-circuit faults. Such faults may cause power outages in the mine power supply system, leading to excessive underground gas concentration and potential safety incidents.
  • Solution 1
Non-disturbance fast transfer devices are installed at each level of the power supply system. When any segment within the supply network becomes abnormal, the device automatically identifies the fault through multiple built-in power abnormality initiation criteria and rapidly initiates seamless transfer to the standby power source without disturbance.
  • Pain Point 2: Incomplete Protection System Configuration
Coal mining enterprises are often sensitive to equipment costs and technical staffing levels, resulting in incomplete protection configurations and limited availability of skilled technical personnel.
  • Solution 2
The non-disturbance fast transfer device integrates conventional power system protection functions, meeting typical coal mine protection requirements, including three-stage overcurrent protection and automatic blocking for in-zone faults.
  • Pain Point 3: Difficulty in Power Restoration After Outages
Restoring normal operation after a power outage requires backend operations involving multiple feeder breakers, as well as safety measure handling during restoration. This places high demands on operator technical skills and reduces recovery efficiency.
  • Solution 3
The transfer device features a one-button switching function. Operators can issue a normal transfer command either remotely or locally, and the device automatically completes uninterrupted power transfer between power sources within seconds, ensuring a simple, safe, and reliable restoration process.
Values
  • Simple & Flexible
The device integrates standard protection functions to meet coal mine protection requirements, with flexible configuration options. One-button normal power transfer simplifies switching operations, reduces operation and maintenance costs—including staffing—and significantly improves production recovery efficiency.
  • Safety Assurance
The solution eliminates the risk of excessive underground gas concentration caused by unstable external power supply, establishing a strong safety barrier for coal mine operations.
